The children in Year 3 and 4 had a totally amazing time on their very first residential trip to Falmouth. After a busy first day, visiting Pendennis Castle, a big walk and then eating at Pizza Express, it was back to the museum for a scrapheap challenge to build and race the fastest boat, followed by a torchlit tour of the museum! Hot chocolate and a film, and setting up camp in the museum, finished the day off nicely. On Wednesday, after an early start, the children learnt about Falmouth harbour, and then walked to Gyllyngvase Beach for rockpool surveys, a beach clean and a sandcastle building competition! What a busy, but fantastic couple of days.
