Year 3 were treated to a peel, chop and grate masterclass with AJ, a chef from Steins Seafood Cookery School, to learn about correct and careful knife skills when preparing vegetables. A fun and tasty afternoon had by all; thank you to Steins for their ongoing support across the school.

The children in Year 4 had an exciting trip to Stein’s Seafood School today. They learnt how to fillet a cod, and then make Thai curry paste and fishcakes. They cooked and ate their own delicious cooking. Yum!
Key Stage 2 had a fantastic afternoon of topic-themed singing with Nicola from the Music Hub. The children all loved the rock n roll style Henry VIII song!
Everyone at St Merryn celebrated in style today as we raised money for Children in Need. The school council did a fantastic job organising lots of fundraising events from cake sales to obstacle courses! The highlight of the day was certainly the fashion show. In total we raised over £260, well done St Merryn.
