Wow what an incredible evening! We could not be prouder of each and every one of our pupils for their performance last night. The whole event was a perfect celebration of this term’s work about the ever growing problem of plastic pollution, and the changes we can and must make. The children lead the audience down from the playground to the beautiful marquee in an exciting procession of sea creatures, before the performance was opened by Rob and Emily Stevenson, our Beach Guardians and inspiration for our topic. The children portrayed the story of plastic from it’s boom in the 60’s to the dreadful pollution and our hopes for the future in a moving dance montage, culminating in a whole school song which moved many to tears. Our school community then enjoyed BBQ and refreshments as the gallery of pupil’s art work was opened. Thank you to all the staff who worked so hard in putting together such a memorable event; we’ve had lovely feedback from parents this morning. A huge thank you to Sperry Tents for the stunning marquee, giving us the perfect backdrop for the performance.
