It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Mrs Brookes today after 10 years with us; we cannot say thank you enough for all that she has done for our pupils and given our special school. Mrs Brookes has been the most wonderful teaching assistant in Year 3/4 for the last 9 years, as well as supporting pupils in her lunchtime supervisor role, and specialist Draw & Talk work. We are bursting with pride for how hard she’s worked to gain her degree and the new path she is pursuing in her new role as a Mental Health Support Worker, which we know she’ll be amazing at. Yesterday the whole school gathered for a special farewell assembly, where Mrs Brookes was treated to a song by each class, as well as touching memories – there wasn’t a dry eye in the room! Whilst we’re so sad to let her go, we will send on her way smiling at the wonderful memories we have, and know she’ll be back for regular visits!
