Starlings class have really enjoyed finding out about different fruits from around the world. We used atlases to find where the fruits had come from and then we had a chance to taste them. The children really enjoyed this activity with many of them trying fruit they hadn’t tasted before. .

We loved seeing so many parents, grandparents and members of our local community at our annual Harvest Assembly. The sun shone for us as we celebrated the harvest of the sea. Well done to all the children who took part so enthusiastically with singing, dancing, acting and rhymes.
Our new team of Buddies made a visit to the church hall on Friday to deliver the harvest gifts to older members of our community. They chatted with the lunch club members and sang them one of our harvest songs. Thank you to all who donated such lovely gifts, the recipients were very grateful.
A team of six represented the school brilliantly this week at the KS2 Surf Championships at Polzeath Beach. We were proud of the whole teams surfing skills, especially Maybyn who came runner up and best female surfer!
The nursery children have been enjoying their lunchtimes since we started in September. We are all super impressed with how they have been exploring different foods, and how well they have been sitting at the lunch table with their friends.
A huge thank you to Bodmin Fire Station for a fantastic welcome today. The Wagtails loved looking at all the equipment, clothing and fire engines. We had so much fun having a go with the hose! We felt very proud that the firefighters commented on the great behaviour of all the children who visited.
All of our KS2 girls have been enjoying some fun football sessions over the past few weeks.
Well done to all pupils who entered this lovely annual event, we celebrated their entries and awards in the first celebration assembly of our new school year.
On Thursday 8th September we were lucky to have local author Sally Crabtree come to visit the school. Wagtails, Robins, Wrens and Chicks enjoyed wonderful sessions of storytelling and singing songs, that the children helped to create.
